Day 1

Arrival Muscat 

You will be met on arrival at MCT Airport and transferred to the hotel.

Day 3

Muscat-Bahla Fort-Nizwa : 245 km

On this day, depart Muscat for Nizwa, the birthplace of Islam in Oman. In Nizwa, you visit Nizwa Fort featuring a unique large round shape used as a defending structure in the past. Then go for a stroll in Nizwa Souq where Silverware, silver-plated daggers, potteries and jewelry are sold. Then go on an excursion to Bahla to visit Bahla Fort, registered in UNESCO World Heritage Site, and Jabreen Fort whose structure is different from other forts of Oman. You will stay overnight in Nizwa.

Day 5

Nizwa-Wahiba Sands : 180 km

In the morning, depart Nizwa for Wahiba Sands. En route, visit Birkat Al Mouz Village (literally means banana pool), known for its UNESCO-listed irrigation traditional system and ruins, and Ibra Historical District known as the gateway to Oman’s Sharqiya region. Our exploration ends by a stroll in Wahiba Sands in which you explore Bedouin life. Overnight in Wahiba Sands Camp.

Day 7

Sur-Wadi Tiwi-Muscat : 222 km

Depart Sur for Muscat. On the way, stop in Qalhat, the ancient city registered in UNESCO World Heritage Site, and visit Bibi Maryam Mausoleum. Afterwards, go on an excursion by 4*4 to Wadi Tiwi, known as Wadi of 9 villages, and visit Fins Beach. Then head for Bimmah Sinkhole. This hole, which is believed to exist as a result of a meteorite that hit the ground, offers you the opportunity for swimming in the turquoise water. Finally, you pay a visit to Quriyat Castle and enjoy an amazing view from the top of the castle.

Day 2

Muscat

Start your city tour by visiting Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque. This fantastic mosque built with an inspiration from Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque in Isfahan, features a large Persian carpet and big chandeliers holding 24 carat gold plating. Then proceed to Royal Opera House, considered as a reflection of the unique contemporary architecture of Oman. Afterwards, stroll in Mutrah Souq, the oldest Bazaar in Oman. Your next exploration is at Bait al Zubair Museum in which the most exceptional collections are displayed by a private entity. At the end, you proceed for a photo stop to the magnificent Al Alam Palace as the formal residence of Omani Kings and Jalali and Mirani Portuguese Forts.

Day 4

Nizwa-Jebel Shams-Nizwa : 150 km

Today, you go on an excursion to Jebel Shams. First, you stroll in Al Hamra Mud Village and visit its traditional irrigation system, registered in UNESCO World Heritage Site, and Bait Al Safah Museum where the staff are locals who practice the traditions, norms and roles of the Omani people. Afterwards, stroll in Misfat Alabriyyn Village, and enjoy beautiful gardens and open terraces. Finally, go on an excursion to Wadi Ghul and enjoy its view to Grand Canyon. You will stay overnight in Nizwa.

Day 6

Wahiba Sands-Wadi Bani Khaled-Sur : 115 km

Depart Wahiba Desert for Sur. On the way, take a rest in Wadi Bani Khaled where big pools, boulders and springs refreshes you. In Sur, you visit Dhow Factory where you can take the opportunity to look into the process of building wooden boat, and Al Ayjah Lighthouse, built by the Portuguese as a defending structure. At the end, you go for a delightful stroll along Turtle Beach in Ras al Hadd. You will stay overnight in Sur.

Day 8

Transfer to the airport

Transfer to MCT Airport for your flight home.
