You will leave this earthly paradise towards the city of Hamadan. After exploring Hamadan and its historical sites, you will depart for Tehran. In route, you explore Ali-Sadr Cave, one of the largest navigable caves in Iran and the world. Ali-Sadr Cave is one of the fabulous natural beauties of the world in which you can discover fantastic geological landscapes.

Day 1

Arrival Shiraz

You will be met on arrival at Shiraz International Airport (SYZ) and transferred to your hotel.

Day 3

Shiraz-Persepolis-Shiraz : 130 km

Go in an excursion to visit Persepolis, the ceremonial capital of Persia and the ruins of more than 2500-year old, and Naqsh-e Rustam, which is a necropolises containing four graves of the first Achaemenid Emperors, Darius the Great, Xerxes, Artaxerxes I and Darius II, carved into the cliff. In shiraz, visit Quran Gate.

Day 5

Isfahan

Today, you explore Jameh Mosque of Isfahan, one of the five oldest Friday Mosques in the world and the oldest monument in Isfahan. Then proceed to Si-o-se Pol and Khaju Bridges, which have spanned the Zayandehrud River. Then head for the Vank Cathedral, constructed with an inspiration from Saint Stepanos Monastery and influenced by Iranian and Italian art, and its Museum. At the end, visit Grand Bazaar of Isfahan, one of the greatest and luxurious trading centers in the Safavid era.

Day 7

Isfahan-Chelgerd : 189 km

After serving lunch, Depart Isfahan for Chelgerd where nomads travel in the summer in order to enjoy its temperate weather.

Day 9

Chelgerd-Googad Citadel-Hamadan : 440 km

Depart Chelgerd for Hamadan. On the way, visit Googad Citadel and Imam Khomeini’s House, the founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Day 11

Hamadan-Tehran : 318 km

In the morning, depart Hamadan for Tehran where you discover Azadi Tower (Freedom Tower) as one of the most important symbols of modernism in Iran and the memorial of 2500-year royal ceremonies. In the afternoon, you visit Iranian Artists‘ House in which you can meet Iranian artists and enjoy art galleries.

Day 2

Shiraz

Go sightseeing in Shiraz, the city of love and poetry. First, visit Nasir-ol-molk Mosque where you can admire the earthenware and magnificent stone columns dating back to the 19th century. Then proceed to Narenjestan e Ghavam Garden, named after the oranges in the courtyard. Next, head toward Hafiz Tomb, a well-known Iranian poet who was also admired by Goethe. Then visit Ali Ibn Hamzeh Holy Shrine in which the glittering mirror works attract your attention. Take some leisure time in Vakil Bazaar.

Day 4

Shiraz-Pasargadae-Isfahan : 493 km

Depart Shiraz for Isfahan. On the way, visit Pasargadae, the first royal capital of Achaemenid in which you will find the tomb of Cyrus the Great.

Day 6

Isfahan

Continue your sightseeing by visiting Chehel Sotoun Palace, a good example for Persian garden. Head towards Naqsh-e Jahan Square, the second largest square in the world, and visit the monument around including Imam Mosque, Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque, also known as the mosque of women, and Ali Qapu Palace, used as a place for entertaining noble visitors and foreign ambassadors in the past. Take some leisure time in the afternoon.

Day 8

Chelgerd

First, trek in Kuhrang Valley; the land of roaring springs, glorious rivers, and nice tulips. Then you get familiar with nomadic life of Bakhtiaris; which play an important role in providing meat, dairy and agricultural products.

Day 10

Hamadan

This day is devoted to sightseeing in Hamedan. First, you visit Ganjnameh Inscription (literally, means treasure book), a set of cuneiform characters written in three languages and include the edicts of Achaemenid kings. Then you head toward Avicenna tomb, the father of early modern medicine, Stone lion of Hamadan and Esther and Mordechai Tomb. At the end, visit Ecbatana; chosen as the Medes’ capital in the late 8th century BC by Deioces.

Day 12

Tehran

Proceed your sightseeing in Tehran by visiting Saad Abad Palace (White and Green Palace); the residential site of two former kings of Iran, which was also the host of Tehran Conference in 1943. Then explore Tajrish Bazaar, a covered bazaar which has retained its old architectural structure. In the afternoon, stroll in Darband Valley as a great choice for hiking, watching spectacular landscapes and tasting delicious foods.
